For StirSound's first digital release, we are delighted to present you with four deeply hypnotizing and challenging tracks from some of the main forces behind the Stir imprint.
Somewhere between a plethora of gigs around the Mediterranean with world class talent and his residency with Overflow, Yin Elek found time to kick things off for us with "Bioser", a late night monster of a track that chugs along with a mid 90's Rob Hood feel. Eerie synth work, sharp hi-hats and a driving kick make for a truly physical and psychological ride through techno madness.
Also keeping busy with his Music for Sex & L'Afternoon parties is Marseille's Sam&Dave&Lowran. He dishes out the bouncy and playful vibes of "Dedale", a track full of melodic twists and soothing vocal turns finally arriving to an ostentatious piano bar crowded with thumpy kick drums and swaying bodies.
Taking a detour into the deep and mysterious, our debut continues with Stir founder, slaving remixer, and fine coffee connoisseur, Jon Doe. In true form he brings us "Green Chord", a crystal clear and very sensual track that also boasts an ultra groovy and shuffly rhythm section. Lush pads and intricate hi-hats come together for a gem far too versatile to fit into any minimal pigeonhole.
Delving deeper into significantly weirder territory is the neurotic April Vallen. "Kari-Kun" is a loopy and flanged out composition with a perpetually scheming bassline and odd tonalities that take the night into bizarre and uncharted territories.
