Sevenfive (artist)
Sevenfive was first of all a true music fan before he started producing his own music during the middle of 90’s. Prince, Can, Funkadelic, New Order, Kraftwerk and Cabaret Voltaire were his main influences.
Later, after listening to Daft Punk, Autechre and Primal Scream, Sevenfive found his way and learned the mysterious language of the machines.
Now, the music of Sevenfive is a mix-up of hip-hop, pop and electro, cut-up beats, deep basslines and new wave guitars. His style can be defined by Discoglitch or Datafunk...or whatever you want.
Interested as much by music experimentations (he produced a track for a John Cage tribute event in 2004) as by the dancefloor energy (he played with Console, Ovuca, Modeselektor, Jake Mandell), Sevenfive puts both parts in his musical work without forgetting the fun: for him and for the listener.
